Who We Are & What We Believe

Coshocton Alliance Church is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Our local church began as a home bible study in 1984. After a year of weekly bible study we held our first worship service at the Coshocton YWCA. With the leading of the Holy Spirit, a faith-filled risk was taken to purchase a lot and break ground at our current location: 730 W. Chestnut St. The first service in our building was December 3, 1995.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance began as a small movement of Christians led by A.B. Simpson in 1887 to preach about Jesus as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King, and completing His Great Commission. The C&MA has grown into a movement of over 6 million Christians in over 20,000 churches worldwide. In the United States, the Alliance has over 500,000 Christians in 2,000 churches. Coshocton Alliance Church is part of the Central District which covers eastern Ohio and all of West Virginia.

β€œβ€œThe Christian that is bound by his own horizon, the church that lives simply for itself, is bound to die a spiritual death and sink into stagnancy and corruption. We never can thank God enough for giving us not only a whole Gospel to believe, but a whole world to give it to.” ”
— A. B. Simpson.
